Ohio’s College Credit Plus can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities.

The College Credit Plus Program (CCP) is designed to provide qualified 7th -12th grade students the opportunity to enhance their high school education with a true college experience.  Students may take as many as 30 credit hours per academic year.  Students must meet GPA and entrance exam requirements as outlined by the institution they plan to attend.

Students who plan to pursue CCP courses must participate in the information/orientation process, complete and file a letter of intent with the guidance office no later than April 1, of each academic school year regardless of whether they plan to begin their college courses in the upcoming Summer, Spring or Fall semester.

Although Lakeside works in close partnership with Kent State Ashtabula, College Credit Plus courses can be taken from any community college or University that participates in CCP programming.

Prior to the first week of February Lakeside HS offers an annual information presentation with the support of Kent State Ashtabula.  Please keep an eye out for the notification.
