Ohio’s College Credit Plus can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities.
The College Credit Plus Program (CCP) is designed to provide qualified 7th -12th grade students the opportunity to enhance their high school education with a true college experience.  Students may take as many as 30 credit hours per academic year.  Students must meet GPA and entrance exam requirements as outlined by the institution they plan to attend.
Students who plan to pursue CCP courses must participate in the information/orientation process, complete and file a letter of intent with the guidance office no later than April 1, of each academic school year regardless of whether they plan to begin their college courses in the upcoming Summer, Spring or Fall semester.
Although Lakeside works in close partnership with Kent State Ashtabula, College Credit Plus courses can be taken from any community college or University that participates in CCP programming.
Prior to the first week of February Lakeside HS offers an annual information presentation with the support of Kent State Ashtabula.  Please keep an eye out for the notification.

Applications can be download from the above website or picked up in the guidance office.
Parents, please note: "The subject matter of a course enrolled in under the college credit plus program may include mature subject matter or materials, including those of a graphic, explicit, violent, or sexual nature, that will not be modified based upon college credit plus enrollee participation regardless of where course instruction occurs."

College Credit Plus is free for all public school students who wish to attend a public Ohio university or college.
To avoid any penalties that may require reimbursement parents and students are highly encouraged to pay close attention to deadlines and grades.
