The AP Exam is the final step you take after a year of hard work in an AP class. Offered in May, these standardized exams are designed to measure how well you’ve mastered the content and skills of the course — a successful score could even earn you credit and advanced placement in college. How to Register:
Contact your AP Coordinator, Mrs. Nooney, (Guidance Office) to register for the exams. Your AP Coordinator will order the necessary materials, collect fees, and let you know exactly when and where to report for the exams. There will be more information handed out in the classes and Mrs. Nooney will make sure you receive necessary information as it becomes available.

Note: If you are home-schooled, or if you plan to test with accommodations, you must let the Guidance Department know by the end of the 1st semester.

**You may take as many AP Exams as you wish, in any combination, with the following qualifications:

ƒ. You may not take both Calculus AB and Calculus BC within the same year.

Fees:
The fee for each exam is $TBD. The fee for exams administered at schools outside the United States, U.S. territories and commonwealths, and Canada, with the exception of U.S. Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS), is $TBD per exam.* The amount you pay, however, may vary:

ƒ. The College Board provides a $TBD fee reduction** per exam for qualifying students with acute financial need. In addition, a school may forgo its $TBD rebate for each fee-reduced exam, making the final cost to qualifying students $TBD per exam. Most states provide federal and/or state funds to supplement the College Board fee reduction.

Check with your AP Coordinator to learn more about eligibility requirements for College Board fee reductions and state and district subsidies.

ƒ. If you paid for an AP Exam but then decided not to take it, you may ask your AP Coordinator for a refund, but only if you did not begin the exam. Once you begin an exam — that is, once you write on an exam booklet or answer sheet, or begin playing an exam CD — you cannot receive a refund. Local school policy determines the amount of the refund.

**Please note: IF you change your mind about taking an AP exam, you will most likely be required to pay the $15 return fee that the school is charged for EACH unused exam. This also applies to those who signed UP AND ORDERED a test, but decided that they do not want to take it, the school is charged a $15 return fee on those exams as well.
